The Story of The Leshem
Who was The Leshem?
The Rav Shlomo Elyashiv, zt"l, was one of the (if not the) greatest Kabbalists of the last century, whose writings have had a profound influence, ever since, on all those who study the inner dimensions of the Torah.
His life's work, a large four-volume series, is called Leshem Shabo V'Achlama, which covers all the major topics in Kabbalistic thought. Hence, he became known, after the name of his works, as The Leshem or
the Baal HaLeshem.
These profound and fascinating books explore the depths of the Kabbalah and its implications for our understanding of the workings of reality. The Leshem covers and fully integrates concepts and teachings of most of the great Kabbalists that came before him, and provides us with many new and profound insights into the workings of HaShem's worlds.

This site has been designed to serve as a central location and clearinghouse, in English, for information about the Leshem and his writings.

The purpose of our organization is to translate and publish selected topics from the writings of the Leshem, in order to provide English speakers with access to some of the writings and the profound spiritual insights of the Rav Shlomo Elyashiv, the Baal HaLeshem, of Blessed Memory.
We are currently in the process of creating precise, English translations of selected writings from the Leshem's works, in order to provide you with access to many deep and profound insights found in the Kabbalah. Our intention is to thus provide you, the reader, with access to ideas and concepts that have never before been presented to the English-speaking world.
